I fear the goal is to show that it is too expensive.

Coal is only found in a few places, that's why we are stuck with wind 
and solar which are available pretty much everywhere...

Seriously, wind blows constantly in many places and blows at one place 
or another all the time.  We might not be able to be 100% wind power, 
but so what,  I'll settle for 75%.

If they develop a good technology for cleaning it up we won't need to 
make it mandatory.
