[Greenbuilding] window flashing diagrams--Lstiburek?

Hi Reubenl,
As Bruce noted, Flexwrap was just where I was going to point you. The
Flexwrap installation is the cleverest and most thorough approach I've
seen. They have products for non-flanges as well as flanged windows.
You'll have to remove the windows, building-wrap the wall, and then do
the flashing. There's a clever little dam optionally installed on the
sill behind the window, and flashed integrally. Unfortunately, I don't
see that in the installation instructions they provide. They included
that, but only barely mentioned it, at a demonstration of Flexwrap I saw
at a conference. Here's the installation instructions:

When they refer to a "Brick mold window or door", that applies to any
unflanged window or door. There's a special product for that purpose,
Straightflash VF, which is a partially-double-sided flashing tape. I
hate to be such a schill for a Dupont product, but they really figured
out all the angles on this one, it seems to me. Every other window
install technique I've seen has weak points, in comparison.
