Reuben,
In the February issue of Green Builder magazine http://
www.greenbuildermagazine.com/ They had an article on how
to properly install Tyvek. I was pretty impressed actually by the
detail approach, and they had a full blown colour section with Joe
Construction doing it properly. I really like this free magazine
(NAHB owns/sponsors/controls?) it and the articles are great, easy,
and help that Joe do things in a more green manner. Anyway, I looked
up the Tyvek book at an architect friend's place the other day and
the same installation methods with nice diagrams are shown. I'm sure
Tyvek has it on their website somewhere.
As for books, I do own Moisture Control Handbook by Joe Lstiburek and
John Carmody. It's a 200 pager filled with heaps of drawings. I
flipped through it just now and actually there are only like half a
dozen diagrams on window details. The rest are all about moisture
moving through walls, foundations and roofs. It's a super great book,
despite not having been able to pull myself through it in all, and I
feel super smart just owning it, but if you want window diagrams, I'm
sure Joe has a better book to suit your needs.
