Hello everyone,

With respect to paints, I've used Farrow and Ball clay paints and had  
good success with it for my MCS clients. They come in gorgeous  
historic colours that make any room look beautiful. For the plaster  
question, these paints would work as that is what they were designed  
to go on 100+ years ago. The recipes are basically the same for their  
main line (their newer line has some different stuff in it). But  
typically my clients have done well with it. Colours come pre mixed  
as well. Apply with brush as it's like spreading Devonshire cream on  
your walls. A real treat to use.

I've also used Eco-House silica paint as well. This is a mix paint,  
comes in a powder form and you mix it up. Colours are all natural  
pigments from what I know, and it more like a wash approach. I've  
used this on exteriors of straw bale homes to a nice success.  
Breathable as well (like the clay paint) and will work on plasters  
too. No odour at all with this product.

In Canada you can get Eco-House at The Healthiest Home Store in  
Ottawa and Calgary. Farrow and Ball has their own stores in some  
cases and is in some nicer lumber stores.
