You don't need a lot of UV to make this work, so the light coming in  
the window would be adequate.  All it does is change the  
efficiency. :) Also, fluorescents do have a bit of a UV component in  
their output, but  I don't remember if its at a wavelength that would  
work with titania photocatalysis.

Alas, "us science guys" are not always welcome in green forums, but  
most of us see sustainable technology as one of those Holy Grail  
challenges that need to be solved. Materials and systems for green  
building are one of those things that for me is personally interesting.
