Hi,
We're still plodding on with the building of our passive solar house
here in the PNW. Our next project will be staining our 6" concrete
slab, which is our first floor throughout....includes kitchen & bathroom.

We will have a centrally located wood stove which stands on a pedestal
rather than four legs. We had intended to place this directly onto the
concrete slab. However, we now have questions regarding radiant heat
damaging the finish on the concrete.

We have been told not to use wax. We have also been cautioned about
moisture vapor rising from the slab & being trapped by certain types of
sealers. We have been advised to use a polyurea sealer which has heat
resistant properties & which is absorbed into the pores of the concrete
& prevents any vapor from rising from the slab.

It goes without saying that most of these sealants are* highly *toxic!

Please help, all comments/suggestions are welcome :-)
Thanks,
Lynn
