Sorry, that was misleading.
I meant radiant heat created directly underneath the wood stove pedestal 
& out across the slab (12"-18").
We did not install radiant floor heat.   The wood stove will be our main 
source of heat.

Oh, & yes,  we did insulate underneath & around the slab, right up to 
the top edge! <smile> Actually, it is code here.
