[Greenbuilding] Green design program

Hi,

I am trying to find a new career in "Green field", especially in "Green"
building/Green house field. I know I need go back to school to prepare for
this direction. But, I do not want to be an Architect. I don't know what
major/classes I should choose in order to work with the company is building
"Green" houses, commercial buildings or even whole Green community. 

 

I have been searching online trying to find out what job title and education
background (I am looking for a program that is 2 years or less due to fact
that I need to find a job soon to support my family), but I can not get much
information on it besides being an architect.

 

These are the things that I want to get involved in:

 Construction Materials
 Flooring
 Lighting 
 Windows & Window Treatments
 Solar Energy
 Paints & Interior Finishes
 Furniture 
 Appliances 
 Kitchens
 Bathrooms

 

I am very appreciating if any of you can kindly give me some idea what you
know about other people's education background to lead them into this field.
