   Some things to consider with preformed roofing:
      A standing seam roof will last long enough to be torn off when the 
building is remodeled.
      Preformed panels can be screwed to 2x purlins @ 2' oc. No deck 
needed!
      If you want a deck, 5/8" plywood has twice the screw holding 
strength of 1/2".
      Using purlins on a 1/2" deck can give you a cooler roof with the 
better holding of the 2x.
