Some things to consider with preformed roofing:
A standing seam roof will last long enough to be torn off when the
building is remodeled.
Preformed panels can be screwed to 2x purlins @ 2' oc. No deck
needed!
If you want a deck, 5/8" plywood has twice the screw holding
strength of 1/2".
Using purlins on a 1/2" deck can give you a cooler roof with the
better holding of the 2x.
