Thanks to all for the many responses.  I am going to have a blower 
test done, long on the list.   And yes, I too can put up with a bit 
of window condensation as well; no curtains btw, no shims either, not 
a stick built house.  And yes, I need the higher humidity to protect art.

As far as the above not-so well-phrased question, I am responding to 
John Straube's suggestion that EOPIV will not work well if the 
varying stories of a multi-level house can not be closed off.  My 
question is; if there are no vents in the upper or lower spaces  of 
this varied level house in which all spaces are open to the rest of 
the house, then what is the effect of exhaust only passive inlet 
ventilation?  ie can it work?
