  You may want to look at EcoUrban Homes in St. Louis (www.ecourbanhomes.com).  I know that you are looking for a builder/manufacturer closer than Missouri, but their modular homes are LEED Platinum and they offer some interesting designs.  I believe that the homes are actually manufactured by Contempri Homes (www.contemprihomes.com) in Pinckneyville, IL.  Good luck!
