I am writing to share the launch of the Rate It Green beta site
(www.rateitgreen.com <http://www.rateitgreen.com/> ) with the Green Building
Discussion Group.  I invite you to share information with each other by
rating products, and I hope and trust that you will benefit (as you do on
this forum) from the information others will be willing to share with you.


Rate It Green is an online community for people interested in finding and
sharing the best in green building and design products and services.  We
created the site to facilitate the sharing of information and to support the
continued growth of the green building market.  Rate It Green features an
online Green Ratings system where members can share their thoughts about a
variety of green products, services, and related topics.  You can give a
Quick Rating, or you can delve into more detailed aspects of a product or
service.  We also have a forum for members, but I would not want to take
away from this wonderful community forum one bit (we want to increase the
number of people interested in green building!).  We are here to help
newcomers to the green building community as well as to help experts share
specific opinions and comments with each other on a bigger scale than may
have been possible in the past - so that we may all advance our green
learning. 

 

Joining Rate It Green as a community member is free (Individual members who
wish to be able to post on the site fill out a registration survey that
serves as the foundation for our longer-term for-profit model - but we will
never sell or give out any personal or confidential information).  Companies
also register with Rate It Green for free (One form is filled out one time
only for the company, and then an additional form is needed for each product
or service to be listed).  We will offer additional and optional services in
the future which can be purchased, but we will never charge for the basic
listing we currently offer, as our goal is to be inclusive and provide our
members the most complete and accurate industry information possible.
