Repost with format that doesn't get bounced by the mail server:
Here is the marketing blurb from Home Despot. I'm not familiar with the
emissions standards they cite for the glues.
"Perhaps most importantly, bamboo is a flooring resource that is very
environmentally friendly. And, it is completely renewable and completely
recyclable. Bamboo is a grass, not a tree. The plants restore themselves
each spring by sending up new shoots from their root systems, similarly
to lawn grasses. Bamboo is the fastest growing plant on earth. The giant
timber variety, which is harvested for use in flooring, grows to over
100 ft. tall. This species of bamboo grows at a rate of 30 to 40 inches
in one day! Hardwood species typically require 10 times as long as
bamboo to be replenished, if they are replanted; if not, it takes even
longer. In summary, for consumers concerned with the protection of the
environment, bamboo is a viable 'green' alternative to wood, and to
other flooring materials. Even the Pandas are not adversely affected by
the harvesting of bamboo for flooring, as the Pandas live at much higher
altitudes and eat a different species of bamboo. 23.59 Sq. Ft. each
case.
Home Legend bamboo flooring is probably best known for its beauty.
Bamboo has a unique grain pattern, in which the nodes of the plant show
through like no other flooring.
The physical characteristics of bamboo strongly favor its use as a
building material. It is very hard, similar to oak and maple. It is very
strong and dimensionally stable. It has been milled such that it lays
very flat when installed.
The solid flooring is offered in both a Natural color (similar to light
maple) and an amber color called, Toast. The amber color is achieved via
a steaming process known as carbonization. Both products are cut
horizontally so that the grain remains pure.
The adhesives utilized in the Home Legend solid bamboo flooring
products are imported from Europe and meet or exceed the European E1
grade standard and the USA's D4 grade standard for emissions. And, the
finishes are cured using UV light sources."

Any info on whether that bamboo flooring is formaldehyde free, and how
it is sourced?

You can buy solid 3/4" bamboo several places, I just paid about $2.10 a
square foot for it at Home Depot, it is also stocked at my local Sam's
club for a little less. You could resand it until you are old and gray
and never wear it out.

We are planing to install bamboo enginered floors in our condominium.
The
pre-finished top veneer on the flooring is 1/8th inch and is said to be
able
to resanded another 1-2 times only. Would anyone have a cue on the
recommended thickness of the engineered floor veneer and if you require
to
sand the flooring later in its life?
Thanks in advance to your help
Best
