I've completed my concrete stain using Iron Sulphate, a relatively harmless garden chemical, and Green Building Supply Gloss Penetrating sealer. Complete instructions, materials, and an amazing photo of my backside while I am scrubbing the floor are available on my Concrete Stain page at http://members.socket.net/~llile/ConcreteStain/Concrete_Stain.html
or on my blog at http://members.socket.net/~llile/buildgreen/buildgreen.htm
I can't think of a Greener way to do a concrete floor, unless one just leaves the concrete bare. I am really pleased with the results, the color is a rich, variegated terra cotta, and the patterns in it are like clouds, you can stare at them for a long time and find new shapes continually. The photos on the webpage can't capture the effect.

P.S., if you have a webpage or a blog, post a link to my Concrete Stain page, it'll raise the Google Score enough that people can actually find it.
