Ikea recycles them - or if your are not near them,  you could find your 
local hazardous material recycling site at http://www.earth911.org Just 
type in your zip code. Sylvania also recycles them (they will take other 
manufacturers bulbs too), but, you have to pay and order prepaid FedEx 
boxes from them which you fill and then return. I hope that helps.
