That argument will depend completely on where you are and the local energy
market. In the mid-Atlantic energy inflation is running 30% annually. One
would be wise to get better returns long-run in offsetting those increases
then get 1.7% in the bank, or even 5% in an online bank.

No details, but I did not push the subject. I'm talking to appraisers in
the area now to see what they have to say. I've already had one appraiser
tell me that it is better to put the extra money you would spend on a
Geothermal system in the bank and let it gain interest.
