I have not observed pex cracking slabs.
I believe I've fallen into the trap of repeating what
I've learned from others.
This information has been given to me as reason for
using pex-al-pex. The rational being that the alum in
it will reduce the amount of expansion in the pex
tubing (from thermal flux not pressure).
My comment was meant to point out that pex used for
running plumbing in cavities shouldn't be used for
radiant in a slab.
as to rush's comment about my post "It also shows a
real lack of comprehension of how systems interact.."
he may be right.
While I am constantly trying to put pieces of the
puzzle together, I am passing along information that I
have learned that makes sense to me. Is this
irresponsible? What the hell, I'm trying.
