Hi Lawrence,

FUD is a technical computer term.

Well, maybe not.   AFAIK it was originally coined to describe IBM's 
marketing tactics when they were known as the evil empire.  Microsoft 
took the title from them many years ago.

If a competitor has a good product and you don't just create Fear, 
Uncertainty and Doubt about the competitor.

p.s. FUD is a course a TLA (Three Letter Acronym).   One of IBM's
