A nail is a nail...well, not any more.

Following up on an articles in Popular Science and Fine Homebuilding, I
went over to the Bostich page and had a look at the new Hurriquake®
fasteners.

These are designed to be a better fastener and for use on sheathing,
etc., in hurricane-, high wind-, and earthquake-prone areas.
They require an air nailer, and cost about 25% more than ordinary nails
($75 vs. $60) for the 8,000 or so needed for the sheathing on a standard
2,000 sq. ft house.

Has anyone had any experience with these yet?
