[Greenbuilding] Bostich Hurriquake Fasteners (Nails...)

I have heard that they are nearly impossible to pull out without
damaging the members in which they are set. That makes pulling shiners
a very destructive task, and shiners are a fact of life even with the
most careful of nailers. If I were using these, I'd nail off half the
shear with regular nails, then pull a string exactly on the middle of
the studs, and THEN go back and fill in with these.
I would also counter with the question, where on earth can you find
enough 8d nails to shear a 2000 square foot house for only $60? We went
through 3 boxes of gun nails at $85 per box, although granted I live in
northern California.
