[Greenbuilding] permissible lead in "lead-free" faucets

do you know how long this alloy has been on the market? When the CA law
outlawing lead in faucets was signed (9/05?), industry folk were saying no
such alloy existed, and my understanding is that the implementation date was
pushed to 2010 for that reason. <
