I don't know much about pollen and mold and humidity, but I suspect folks
had clever ways of drying their clothes before electric clothes dryers were
domesticated. I understand some clothes washers are MUCH better at wringing
moisture out of wet laundry than others. This might be a start. You can also
get spinners that are specifically designed to do this, separate from the
washing machine.
