Hi all,
Just wanted to say a big ol' THANKS to everyone who sent messages
about the new appliance issue. We've decided to replace our old
washer/dryer (Freecyle them locally) and buy a new front loader
washer/dryer and keep our old refrigerator for now.
Now I have a new question.....I'm going to stain the concrete floors
in lieu of adding new ceramic tile....we just removed all the carpet
from the house, and are in the process of removing the tack strips
around the edge.
I'm going to use a water-based acrylic stain on the floors, but need
something to fill in the holes left by the strips. In my art studio,
I experimented with some concrete patch stuff, but I don't think it's
going to take stain well since it's drying much darker than the
original floor. In the studio I'm doing a painted floor using
watered-down acrylic latex and "dribble design", but in the living
room/dining room I need a smoother surface.
Any recommendations on something non-toxic I can use to patch the
perimeter holes? Something that will take the water-based stain well?
Any ideas are welccomed!
