Vicki,
You didn't mention what you're interested in doing in green building.
I can share this: Sage Homebuilders in St. Louis, MO is currently
interviewing for an office administrator position, an estimator and a site
supervisor.
In each position we're not looking (necessarily) for a LEED AP designation,
but we are looking for candidates who "get green," those who show a passion
for the work we do and understand that what we do can be a challenge beyond
typical home building. It helps if the person applying has read up on green
building and can speak intelligently about what makes a green home different
than a standard home and why that's important.
As with any position we want what everyone else wants - relevant experience,
organizational skills, personal communication skills, and a passion to
succeed. From a company culture perspective we're looking for people who
are just good - altruistic, good hearted, and fair-minded.
