Forgive me if this has been mentioned before. I'm a fan of the Green
Guide for Healthcare.
http://www.gghc.org/
It's kind of like LEED on prescription. It takes into the
commissioning/operations side of the building far deeper than any
other green building guideline that I've seen. I've worked on a
50,000ft2 doctor's clinic and will be working on a smaller 4,000ft2
clinic. I found this guideline really helpful to just understand
their issues a bit better and how to go about things. It's a free
(Massive) download or you can buy it online.
There are some clinics and doctors interested in environmental
issues, as those that connect the dots, realize the obvious
connection. There are a bunch of environmental doctors organizations
and some great environmental medicine doctors out there as well.
Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment comes to mind.

You can search out local people who are members of these orgs and
talk to them to see how: Bobbi your artwork, or any of us green
building consultants can work together with them.
On a side note Bobbi, pick the most important or most expensive (it
is American health care) or the most populated children's clinic and
show them a portfolio and maybe do a free commission if you can
afford it. Sometimes a loss leader like that will pay for itself
pretty quickly.
Take care.
