Well, I'm a fan.  Been using this type of water treatment for over 2 decades.  

Yes, I know what the hoax site says, and no, I wasn't happy when my-brother-the-scientist fell over laughing 
when I got them.  But I use much less dish and laundry soap, and I don't itch after I come out of the 
shower.
And the capper was, that after I installed one at my brother's house, for my use while I was housesitting, 
he took it off because he said that his (really fine) hair just stood up on his head and he couldn't do 
anything with it.
So, with all due respect to scientific opinion, I'll continue to ignore it in the face of experience.
