[Greenbuilding] using roxul-confessions of an old foamer

I was pleasantly surprised to learn (thanks to Mr Hedley of Roxul, NA) that
this product is available locally. Up to this point I have been using xps
for subslab insulation, and for IRMA systems under extensive green
roofs-always with trepidation, because of vulnerability to insects, and the
petroleum component in the foam.

So for those who have used roxul for these applications-how does it perform
under load? Can you place the insulation on a masonry or concrete slab
ledge, and place the slab above? Or does the slab need to bear on the
ledge, leaving a thermal short circuit? I see on their website a number of
densities, plus drain board material. But no obvious info on compressive
strength.

Thanks in advance for your advice.
