[Greenbuilding] Baxi Luna question

Linda: There are many schemes & systems designed to conserve water wasted
while waiting for hot water to arrive at a fixture. The best save both
energy & water. Utilities, especially electric utilities, usually don't
recommend such systems and have lobbied DOE to deny them EnergyStar labels
for obvious reasons.

For example, I have a 15 kW tankless electric --with no Energy Star label --
that is equivalent to an 80%-efficient tankless gas heater having an input
of 64,000 Btu/hr. My DHR system uses a Model G3-60 GFX that recycles about
60% of the heat wasted down a shower drain by preheating all incoming water
as illustrated @ http://www.gfxtechnology.com/Ins-Video.html.

This reduces the amount of hot water supplied by the water heater and speeds
its response time by requiring less power to heat it in the first place ---
thereby saving both water, power & energy.

A few such systems are discussed in "Dampers, Reclaimers, and Pumps--Oh My!"

Others may be found by searching: "hot water consumption", "recirculation
loops", "water conservation" @
