[Greenbuilding] Looking for a normal house.

I am looking for a house (to study not to buy), which is about the US 
national average in terms of size and efficiency.  It should be a well 
built house in a heating only climate.  This is for a comparison to 
green building techniques, so I will need construction details and 
interior floor plans.   Actual heating data not needed.

Can anyone help point me in the right direction?
