Hi Tom and all,
For significantly less toxicity during manufacturing and combustion, for recycling capability, and less leakage, HDPE is preferable over PVC. But does PVC leach or corrode into water or soil once it is in place? Also, the glue/cement that fastens the lengths of PVC pipes--how toxic is this, and does it leach/corrode into water/soil? One article says that Gorilla cement is the only one that claims to be non-toxic.
Many thanks,
Mary
