[Greenbuilding] Lead contamination in older porcelainest, Vol 11, Issue 41

I was at a yard sale today where there were lots and lots of old
tools. A plumber was buying old solder, saying, "this is the good
stuff...real lead".
I asked him if he knew lead was bad for you, and he said: "Yeah,
but it gets covered up with mineral deposits pretty quick."
Any truth to this?
