If you have a KMS Tools store nearby, they have a sturdy  hand-powered 
hydraulic one for around $150 or so. A little bit more effort is 
required, but you don't need a handy current bush to run them. If memory 
serves me well, they require about 3-4 strokes to split a chunk of wood.

Okay, the closest on to you is PoCo, it seems, and the splitter isn't in 
their on-line catalog. (I looked yesterday )

I assume this type of splitter is available from other suppliers.
