[Greenbuilding] [BULK] Refrigerators

Well, you can go with any regular (maytag, whirlpool etc.) brand's
energy star, and get what has now become standard efficiency.

Sunfrost has a bunch of super-efficiency, or even nonelectric models if
you want the best. Plan to spend 5X what a regular maytag might cost
you. If you are off the grid, these make sense because you avoid the
cost of a really expensive solar array just to keep your food cold.
They may not make so much sense if you are on the grid, at least for my
nickel.

Another off-grid nonelectric option is a used propane fridge out of an
RV. A friend of mine bought two of these at an auction, he is off the
grid and it really made a lot of sense. Used, these things go for a
song.

Any suggestions on the most eco and efficient fridges?
