Sgrìobh Tom Gorman:

>All the humanure discussion is getting me down! I got all excited
>about a bucket-system composting toilet for the farmhouse we're
>rescuing after reading the 'handbook' a year or so ago, not least
>because it would've saved me from having to do the toilet plumbing
>(and the state of the existing septic system is a big unknown....).
>Even built a beautiful (if I do say so myself) beaded board toilet
>'box' that fit perfectly with the redo of the bathroom.... but I just
>couldn't get the significant other to go for it... I think it has
>been the only real dispute we've had as far as the house goes, but
>she had to have a flusher!

The deal I made with my spouse was that I would manage the pile,
and generally deal with the bucket. Maybe she'll go for it if you
make the promise?

In our renovation, we need to have a client bathroom, and that
will have a flush toilet. The family bathroom, however, will still
have the sawdust bucket.

I wish that there were room in both places for both types, but
there aren't enough square feet.
