[Greenbuilding] Which side of OSB to use?

Hello all,
I am in the process of covering up the (new) raised foundation of my 1940's
house, under major restoration, with OSB in preparation for stucco. The
person helping me tells me that it doesn't make any difference if the hard,
shiny side of the OSB is facing out. The other side is softer and more
porous. I am concerned about moisture penetration, and I am being told that
it makes no difference. Could anyone out there please comment on this
situation?
Thanks,
Kathy Cochran of kathys_old_house at goldrush.com
