Pretty poor choice IMHO.

We first recover the return envelopes for our own use (cross out the printed 
address and write our own on the back side) and recycle the rest. Haven't 
bought envelopes for decades.

I wonder how much carbon we could lock up with continually recycling paper 
products rather than releasing it in one way or another.
