[Greenbuilding] Starting Wood Stoves

This thread contains lots of excellent advice.   But I'd like to 
boast about the properties of eucalyptus leaves.

In the summer I collect dry leaves. Then when I set my fire I add a 
big handful of dry leaves to the usual paper, sticks, shavings etc. 
as advised in earlier posts.  The effect is analogous to pouring half 
a cup of oil or kerosene over the setting.

I never have trouble getting the fire going.

That's the good news, the bad news is the constant need to keep the 
ground around buildings clear in preparation for wildfire.
