[Greenbuilding] Lawn advice OT pesky mollusks

Slugs and the common snail pests of the Bay Area are of course quite edible.  
 However, I've ingested sautéed slugs, and they have the texture of rubber 
bands.   If I could have chewed them to release any flavor, I'd report on it.   
Any recipe for snails works well for slugs.   Slugs are also outstanding 
fishing bait.   They are tough and you can catch fish after fish on the same slug.  
 They don't fall apart the way worms do.   They are like bloodsuckers in that 
regard. (Look like them, too!)
