The Addison Sod House is a well designed and engineered soddy built by
James Addison, farmer,
and meant only for temporary shelter until a different type of house
could be built.
It was built between 1909 and 1911, and has some advanced design
features which have contributed to it's longevity.
These include tapered walls, a good roof, a plaster finish, a rain
screen, and an enclosed porch on the back.

I don't know if it's still being lived in, but it was declared a
Heritage building in 1992, and some of the photos here are dated 2004.

It will soon hit the century mark.
