Hi Tim,
I haven't used the proper, but a good friend and green builder Matt
Dunkin of Green By Design, used them on his house for siding, instead
of replastering his 1940's storey and a half. He found them great to
work with, held up well, cut well, as he had to cut way more than for
a roof job, and has had no problem at all with water issues. He would
happily use them again.
The one thing to remember with those and the Authentic roof is that
it is recommended that you open up the stacks and mix them up, sort
of like hardwood, to ensure you get a colour blend. I've researched
both products heaps and talked to the companies direct and I like
them both.
My two cents worth.
