Is this all oaks, or just some? Anyone known the name of the
beetle? Is it universal?
All of my beams are of oak, whether in the round or built-up.
And all of my posts, in the addition, are going to be oak...

This is sound advice in any case. You never know what's going to
happen, and building for easy repair is a good call.
Not that I did that the first time, but I'll be closer to it this
time around...
