[Greenbuilding] eco fireplaces

Probably more than you want to get involved with,  but masonry heaters -- though they are rarely if ever open...

No, there is no such thing as an eco-ambiance-fireplace.  It doesn't 
matter how efficiently you burn energy that you don't need.  Sorry.
