Nick, this is probably not suitable for you, but a different approach would be to capture the heat for later use (not sure if that's even relevant in NM)
 
 David Delporto of "Ecological Engineering" has a solar greenhouse in his house, a few years ago he tried venting the hot air to his basement, the heat transfer worked really well, but the warm moist air caused mold to grow. 
 
 We talked about using water pipes to transfer the heat rather than send the air directly, but I don't think he experimented with that...
