[Greenbuilding] Thermal envelope

Hello all, quick posting without any good research.  I just want to hear
people's thoughts.

There has got to be better ways of constructing a thermal envelope with
exterior insulation (or insulated metal panel), metal studs with useless
batt insulation, and interior drywall, right?
