[Greenbuilding] Thermal envelope

Well, I would start by getting rid of the useless Fiberglass batt insulation (makes excellent mouse nesting material, otherwise of little use) and substitute a Greener, better performing material like wet-spray cellulose. Covering studs of any flavor with a layer of foam insulation will help reduce the short-circuit effect of the studs. You can get Greener yet by substituting strawbales/timber frame, or adobe etc.
