[Greenbuilding] FW: Thermal envelope

I don't know about the horizontal thing. What about a staggered stud
wall? Also, could one use a 2x4 wall, and then put a layer of 1 inch
foam under the sheetrock (attaching the sheetrock with longer screws)?
