[Greenbuilding] small woodstove recommendation?

I had years of good service from a palladium from Woodstock soapstone. It did have a catalytic -- or I chose that option -- but really the soapstone performs so much better than steel -- even-er heat, longer hold of heat after fire is out. I thought it handsome too... but they ahve various styles. I bought and installed it in an upstate nY house that I built in 1990 and sold 18 months ago, and it never failed in any way... though I think I once replaced the catalytic.

Excellent choice! The catalytic converters burn out fairly fast, then
you have a poorly designed, dirty burning stove!
