Didn't I also remember you having a way of calculating how much heat
transfer you could get out of a coil of copper pipe submerged in a tank
of heated water?  

The idea being, of course, to preheat water through a warmed solar tank
before it hits my domestic water heater.  

Of course you can just go out and buy all this stuff, but that takes all
the fun out of it.
