Bingo.  And the Prius does a hell of a lot less polluting in traffic.  That
said, I think the Tata will do one thing extremely well.  It will draw us
elitists out of the woodwork and will force a wider discussion of our role
in damaging the planet.  We (including me) cannot just sit idly by wringing
our hands and saying "Oh look at the damage those Chinese and Indians are
doing to our planet!"  We have been the instrument of our planet's
destruction for more than a hundred years, primarily because of our belief
in manifest destiny.   Now we are being upstaged and we don't know how to
act.
