I just installed a set of wood frame storm windows on a recently insulated
100 year old house and the occupants are delighted at the improvements over
the single pane windows. This is a lot cheaper than new windows, and a lot
less fuss. I had previously thought of storm windows as protecting the
windows from the weather, but I'm coming around to thinking their thermal
properties may be of equal value?

Can anyone speak to the thermal differences between double glazed windows
and this arrangement?
